The Jim Page campsite is our District campsite, located south of Gainsborough in Laughterton. The site is approximately 12 acres mainly wooded with clearings for camping in. Each group in the town has its own camping area along with dedicated areas for visiting groups.

    • Toilets & Shower Blocks – Clean and accessible washrooms for all campers.
    • Pot Washing Facilities (available on request) – Take care of meal clean-up with ease.
    • Cedar Wood Cabin (Calvert Cabin) – A rustic-style building perfect for meetings, dining or as a base.
    • Kitchen – Ideal for preparing group meals efficiently.

    Please note:

    There is no indoor accommodation available on site.

    Our District groups have building on their allocated sites, which are not bookable.

As a Scout Camp Site, the Jim Page Camp Site is usually only available Scout, Guide, School and Youth Groups. Please contact us for all other enquiries (the site is not normally available to the general public). This enables us to maintain safeguarding requirements for our users.

  • Users need bring their own First Aid Kit suitable for the activities they are undertaking and are responsible for risk assessing the activities they plan to undertake.
  • Remember children are on site and drivers should drive at a speed where they can react as necessary and not more than 5mph.
  • Parking should be in designated areas only and vehicles should not be kept within the camping areas overnight.
  • To prevent the risk of uncontrolled fires, users should use only designated fire areas and ensure suitable precautions are in place (e.g. fire buckets) and never leave fires unattended. In periods of sustained dry weather, please refrain from lighting fires.

Pricing Notes:

  1. We make our site available to groups within Gainsborough District Scouts / Gainsborough Division Guides to support them adding outdoor and adventure to their programme and they often choose to meet at the campsite for their normal meeting nights or as a starting point for an evening walking etc.
  2. Our groups have designated mini-sites, as a result they may need to pop-in to collect items etc.
  3. Whole Site Booking includes sole use and up to 100 campers.
  4. Crate Stacking - Where camping fees are being paid, no additional fee charged.
