Welcome to the website of the Gainsborough District Scouts. We are one of the Districts in the county of Lincolnshire.
Our District cover a large area with three Scout Groups in the town of Gainsborough (3rd,6th and 14th) and also Scout Groups in the surrounding area (Beckingham, Morton, Haxey, Willingham and Market Rasen. We used to have a group at Ingham but this has recently closed.)
This site offers information about our District that we hope is beneficial to both District members and those of you who maybe new to Scouting. If you are new to Scouting then you can find some general information about Scouting on our About Scouting page.
 What a great weekend
All  in our District had the opportunity to join in the fun in this County Cub Camp and most of our packs joined in the fun for the weekend . . .
Lincub is a county run weekend camp that happens every 3 - 4 years and is open to all in the County which included our District.
District Scout Camp, 1st - 3rd May 2010
All Scouts and Explorers in the District were invited to this years Annual District Scout Camp which was held at the beginning of May.
This was the 4th annual District Scout Camp in a row and the theme this year was It's a Knockout with activities to suit. 
Saturday evening had everyone out on an incidient hike followed by a Disco when they returned to site. Campfire fun started off Sunday evening followed by a well know live band Slinky Peach who entertained us.
Scouts Active support is the new name for the
and was launched by the Scout Association on 5th September 2009,
its for Adults 18years and older, providing support to us all.
